What is the Pit Bull Project?

The Pit Bull Project is the genetic reversal of the American Pit Bull.  It is also the attempt to tell people that some Pit Bulls go through their whole life without showing any aggression towards anyone or anything, some do show aggression.Pit Bulls have the nature to fight in them. It's not their fault, it's ours. We're the ones to blame for their behavior.  In a saying I read, it said "When it comes to the Pit Bull, ...the beast is often usually the two-legged animal at the other end of the leash." I like that saying because, it shows that we're the monsters that created this behavior.  Yes, don't get me wrong now, I KNOW it's in their nature. On my blog page, I'll discuss more about both sides of the problem. Another saying is,"Darkness doesn't drive out darkness, only light can. Hate doesn't drive out hate, only love can." That is true, I believe.

How I Plan To Do This Project.

I plan to raise a Pit Bull from a puppy. When the dog is 2 years old, I'll breed it with another Pit Bull. That Pit Bull MUST have lived a happy, healthy, well-treated life. I'll keep this up until it seems the American Pit Bull is practically a totally different breed. The breed is going to be less aggressive towards people and dogs. It will be like a Shetland Sheepdog. They are kind, gentle, loving animals. Except the Pit Bull will be less hairy.

I  know I'm only 12 years old, there's limits to what I can do.  Meaning,1: I can't own a Pit. 2: Don't have enough resources like money, dog food, enough play room for them, and more. I'm willing to do whatever it takes to save the American Pit Bull. The Pit Bulls have to fight everyday for their love and life. It's wrong how we kill the Pits because of there breed. I mean, what if a Pit Bull never showed any aggression towards people or dogs.  We would've never known because, we put it down.  Then again, no one wants to take chances with that kind of dog.

Another thing is we don't hear about Lab, Poodle, or any other kind of dog attacks as much as we do the Pit Bull.
I'm here to save the Pit Bull, but we also have to address the problem with the dog. We just don't hear Poodle attacks almost everyday.
